WATCH: Blake Shelton Releases Video For "I Lived It"

March 2, 2018

Country superstar Blake Shelton has just released a new video for his song “I Lived It,” which appears on his most recent album Texoma Shore. The scenery in the clip is reminiscent of the album’s cover art.

In the video, Shelton walks along country roads, fishes in a lake, plays guitar and drives a truck. Home video clips are intermingled with the professional footage.

The “I Lived It” video ends with a series of different aged “Blakes” carving numbers into a tree. In the last shot, he cuts “18” into the trunk, presumably a reference to 2018.

“I Lived It” was written by Ashley Gorley, Ben Hayslip, Rhett Akins and Ross Copperman and the lyrics resemble an entry in a personal diary.

“Oh, you think I’m talking crazy/ In a different language you might not understand/ Oh, that’s all right/ That’s just the kind of life that made me who I am/ Just taking my mind on a visit back in time cause I miss it.”

Shelton is currently on his Country Music Freaks Tour, which runs through July 21 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
