Special Olympics Oregon is a not-for-profit charitable organization accredited by Special Olympics, Inc. serving more than 14,000 participants each year, attending to the largest disability population in the state.

Starting December 1 through December 31, pizza enthusiasts can support Special Olympics Oregon by ordering Papa John’s Pizza with the promo code SOOR at www.papajohns.com. Customers who use the Special Olympics Oregon promo code will receive 30 percent off their entire regular menu price order with 10 percent of their order total donated to further local Special Olympics Oregon events.

“Community is at the core of our values here at Papa John’s. As a locally owned business, we are honored to support an organization that works to better the lives of those marginalized in our community,” said Portland Papa John’s Operations Manager, Dave Edwards. “We believe that with help from our local customers, we can expand Special Olympic Oregon events to more individuals who could benefit from this wonderful organization.”

Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children, youth and adults living with intellectual disabilities. These events help develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and encourage sharing with their families, other Special Olympics Oregon athletes, and the community.

Still growing, Special Olympics Oregon is expanding programs to get closer and closer to serving every individual in the state with intellectual disabilities. Their vision is to help bring all persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens.
