Sleep Country USA Clothing Drive

Kids don’t usually worry about replacing the clothes they outgrow. But the nearly 20,000 foster kids living in the Northwest aren’t always so fortunate. So Sleep Country USA is collecting new clothes for local foster kids of all ages. But they can’t do it without your help. Bring your gift of new pants, tops, dresses, and more to any Sleep Country location. Visit SleepCountryFosterKids.org for more information or to donate online.

Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness

Join the Ladybug Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) foundation for their annual 5K & 10K race at Cook Park in Tigard on July 25th. This stroller-friendly race course winds through open green spaces and forested paths along the Tualatin River and adjoining neighborhoods to provide a unique and fun running experience. All race participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, enjoy live music, craft beer and much more! Best of all, the proceeds from the race go to the Ladybug CDH Foundation whose mission is to help raise public awareness, fund medical research, and provide direct assistance to families in the Pacific Northwest with children affected by CDH, a potentially fatal congenital birth defect that affects 1 out of 2500 children born every year.
