Mike Chase. Six two, one eighty. Able to make one half of the room laugh, while honking off the other side all at the same time. Never boring...and never right! About anything. Just ask Amy.
He's been a radio host for a jillion years, but he's still in his early twenties! Amazing! How does he do it? All while raising his two beloved children SINGLE HANDEDLY! (Wait...is his wife going to read this?!)
Mike enjoys tennis, and tennis and tennis. He also enjoys spending time with his family and writing his own bio's. And tennis.
Check out "Mike and Amy in the Morning", six to ten am, Mon-Sat on 99-5 The Wolf.
Amy's Portland roots go all the way back to a relative who arrived here in a wagon on the Oregon Trail, a fact she is very proud of even though, obviously, she had nothing to do with it. Other longtime Portland/Vancouver people may remember her dad, Jack Faust, who hosted a popular local TV show called "Town Hall" for many years. (now semi-retired, he lives across the street from Mike and yells at him to get off his lawn.). For a while, Amy thought it might be fun to live other places besides Portland (California, New York City, Paris, Ireland) but she eventually figured out that there's no better place on Earth (for mold cultivation and raising kids) than right here at home. Amy shares a hundred year-old house with her husband of 20 years, Kevin; her middle-school-aged daughter Alice, two teenage cats, a rescued maltese dog and many millions of dustmites (she's a bit of a slob). Her radio career started with Mike 13 years ago, and will probably end with Mike, since she inexplicably continues to find him hilarious and a lot of fun. With a spit-fire personality and an unbeatable knowledge of country music, Savannah Jones is a force to be reckoned with in the Portland radio market.
Consistently out-entertaining the competition, this lil' lass is as sweet as she is smart. Plus, having grown up in North Dakota, Savannah is a real-life cowgirl. As music director of 99.5 the Wolf, she has a real hand in the over-all sound and success of the station. In her role as assistant program director, it's not unusual to find her accompanying listeners to private functions and getting backstage access with country's top artists.
Tim Taylor is often confused with Tim Allen's character on the television sitcom Home Improvement, but in name only. Tim is a Pacific Northwest native and chances are, if you've lived in Portland very long, and were anywhere near a radio, his voice has been a part of your life. His love of radio started when he was a kid. He'd take his Mr. Microphone (remember those?) and create his own radio shows. And now that childhood dream and enthusiasm for creating fun shows is a part of his afternoon program on The Wolf!
Tim is a witty, caring, fun-loving guy with a passion for living. From riding his motorcycle on those rare sunny days to cooking, being outdoors and playing guitar. He's no Brad Paisley, but he can hold his own when it comes to picking a guitar. His favorite things to do however are spending time with his son Jordan and hanging out with his family and close friends. If Tim's around, laughter is sure to follow.
Tim is the voice of the afternoon show on The Wolf, where he plays the most music and brings his brand of fun. Tim would love to hear from you! Call 503-733-WOLF and be a part of the show. Tim is standing by… with his Mr. Microphone.
The non-stop talking result of a union between a Tony Soprano dad and a Suzanne Sugarbaker mom (how the heck did THAT happen?) Michele first debuted “Kiss & Tell With Michele” on 99.5 The Wolf back in July of 2004. After three years, she made the foolish decision to take a job somewhere else, which resulted in her profound unhappiness and eventual return to where she belongs—right back here in the Northwest, munching on refined carbohydrates and high-fructose corn syrup goodies while she plays sweet country music for the best pack o’ listeners in the world.
Michele takes requests and dedications, gives unsolicited advice and makes her boss a little nervous Monday-Friday from 7pm til midnight. Hit her up on the request lines and make sure you have a good story when you do---or she’ll probably make one up and use your name.
