Sleep Country USA Clothing Drive


Kids don’t usually worry about replacing the clothes they outgrow. But the nearly 20,000 foster kids living in the Northwest aren’t always so fortunate. So Sleep Country USA is collecting new clothes for local foster kids of all ages. But they can’t do it without your help. Historical Outreach Foundation and Salute Targets introduce Guns & Guacamole, an Oregon Military Museum Fundraiser hosted on July 18th from 10a-1:30p in Helvetia, OR. Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness


Join the Ladybug Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) foundation for their annual 5K & 10K race at Cook Park in Tigard on July 25th. This stroller-friendly race course winds through open green spaces and forested paths along the Tualatin River and adjoining neighborhoods to provide a unique and fun running experience. All race participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, enjoy live music, craft beer and much more! Best of all, the proceeds from the race go to the Ladybug CDH Foundation whose mission is to help raise public awareness, fund medical research, and provide direct assistance to families in the Pacific Northwest with children affected by CDH, a potentially fatal congenital birth defect that affects 1 out of 2500 children born every year. The Bite of Oregon Anniversary


The Bite of Oregon is celebrating its 32nd anniversary on August 7‐9th at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. During the three‐day event, Oregon’s top chefs, best wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries, along with celebrity chef demonstrations and challenges, live entertainment and children’s activities, will join forces to make The Bite of Oregon one of the state’s premier outdoor culinary events. Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk


Register for the Portland Get Your Rear in Gear® 5K Run/Walk to help raise funds for colon cancer awareness efforts in the Portland area. Monies raised will stay in our community, helping with prevention, early detection and treatment, and healthy living projects for this disease. The event includes refreshments, tech shirts and marathon quality medals for age group winners.
