A child's bedtime should be a time to feel safe, warm and protected. For more than 26,000 Northwest foster children, separated from family and friends, nights can feel long and lonely. To help make those nights a little cozier, you can help by collecting pajamas for foster kids big and small. Bring your gift of new pajamas, packaged socks and underclothes to any Sleep Country and they'll be matched with a local foster child in need. You can also help by joining us for our Sleep Country Foster Kids Pajama Bowl, Sunday April 25th at Big Al’s Bowling, Billiards and Arcade in Vancouver. Sign up at sleepcountry.com and start collecting your pledges today. Create a 5-person team at work, or play with friends and family. You’ll not only have a great time bowling in your pajamas, you’ll also help provide local foster kids with important services like tutoring and new shoes - and little extras like summer camp or learning a musical instrument. And 100% of the money you raise goes to these special programs. Get complete information and sign up your five-person team at sleepcountry.com today!

Help A Local Athlete

Gay Stuart Sims was severely injured in a sports accident recently.  It seems almost impossible to fathom but while playing tennis he had an unfortunate incident with a wall.  As a result “Stu” is a quadriplegic and needs help. Gay was named after the legendary Notre Dame football player William T. Gay (Glenn, his older brother, was named after Army football star Glenn Davis).Currently, Stu’s family is trying to raise money for a wheel chair, bed, and special Hoyer lift.  The wheel chair alone costs over $20,000.  The community and Stu’s family have made it easy to give money to help.  You can go by any US Bank in the state of Oregon and give to the "Gay Stuart Sims" account.  It is critical that all checks be made out to "Gay Stuart Sims". Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated by Stu and his family.
