Outnumber Hunger!


For 1 in 6 Americans, hunger is a reality. Right now, nearly 13 million families in America are struggling with hunger. You can help by simply entering codes from specially-marked General Mills products--including Cheerios, Yoplait, and Nature Valley--at OutnumberHunger.com, you can help Feeding America secure five meals for your local food bank! Look for specially-marked packages of General Mills products featuring Florida Georgia Line, as well as an Outnumber Hunger code. For every code entered online by January 31st, 2015, $0.55 will be donated to Feeding America up to a maximum total donation of $1,200,000. General Mills has already donated $600,000 and will donate up to an additional $600,000 based on online code entry and other consumer actions. It takes a Big Machine to Outnumber Hunger!

Rock N' Roll Half Marathon

Take a Soldier Fishing


Volunteer to take veterans, active duty military and their immediate family members for a day of fishing on Saturday, May 31st at Henry Hagg Lake! It will be a fun-packed filled day of fishing honoring our veterans and active duty military representatives for their service to our nation. Clark Public Utilities Annual Home & Garden Idea Fair


Enjoy a weekend of free, family-friendly activities and demonstrations featuring ideas for enhancing your home, yard, and garden, presented by Clark Public Utilities! Kick-off the spring gardening and home improvement season with this local, annual tradition on April 25th and 26th from 9am - 6pm and April 27th from 10am to 5pm! The event will take place at Clark County Event Center located at 17402 NE Delfel Road Ridgefield, WA 98642 just off of exit #9 from I-5. Family Dogs New Life Shelter Benefit Gala


Family Dogs New Life Shelter in Milwaukie is celebrating 10 years and 10,000 dogs adopted! Their 2014 fundraising gala is going to be an amazing night and will be held on Sunday, May 4th at Castaway, 1900 NW 18th Avenue, Portland 97209. Tickets are $80 in advance and include live music, a delicious dinner and wine, cash bar, live and silent auction and the premiere of "Finding Love, Giving Life" -- a documentary about the amazing work of Family Dogs New Life Shelter in our community. Strike Out Cancer


Strike Out Cancer is a youth softball tournament benefiting the Children's Cancer Association and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and is being held April 26th & 27th at Wallace Marine Park in Salem. Along with a great day of softball for regional 12-and-under teams, there will also be a kids fair with face painting, balloon animals by Twisty & Friends, arts & crafts tables hosted by Michael's, a cake walk, and silent auction. Survivors of leukemia, lymhoma, myeloma, or childhood cancers are encouraged to come out and claim a survivor t-shirt and act as honorary pitchers. Shop Early For Mother's Day and Support Local Firefighters


Come shop early for Mother's Day and support the Aumsville Volunteer Firefighters at the Pre-Mother's Day Outing happening Saturday, May 3rd at the Aumsville Fire Station from 9 a.m. til 4 p.m. There will be a fire hall full of great vendors to shop from, and a silent auction as well. It's time again for the Newberg Volunteer Fire Department's Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast! Held Sunday, May 4th, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Newberg Fire Station 20 on the corner of 2nd and Blaine St. Proceeds from the event support the fire department's activities and charity efforts, such as the Toy & Joy Program.

Fences For Fido has unchained over 700 dogs in the past 5 years since a few friends formed the group around a kitchen table back in 2009. Oregon City/West Linn Relay For Life presents Relay Round-Up Saturday, June 28th 10 a.m. through Sunday, June 29th 10 a.m. at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City. Please join us for a western-themed, fun-filled 24-hour event. Special guest, Nashville based country duo Cloverdayle will be performing a FREE concert Saturday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is a team-based event that includes someone from each team walking (or running) on the track each hour for the entire 24 hrs.
